Allyssa Angle McGinnis, MS, t-LMHC
Allyssa Angle McGinnis is a temporary licensed mental health counselor (tLMHC). She provides individual therapy to teenagers and adults and offers couples therapy. Allyssa uses a combination of theoretical approaches, tailoring her counseling techniques to suit your unique needs and circumstances. She is committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients. Her clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, communication issues, consensual non-monogamous relationships, LGBTQ+, relationship issues, stress management, and trauma.
Her goal is to provide compassionate and professional therapy services to individuals seeking support and guidance on their mental health journey. Whether you're struggling to cope with adverse mental health conditions or simply seeking personal growth, Allyssa aims to work collaboratively with you, finding the most effective path to positive change.
Allyssa earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University in 2023. She has additional training in attachment trauma and EMDR.
In her free time, Allyssa enjoys spending down time with her partner and kids. Some of her favorite days are spent going on adventures with family and friends, exploring new parks and playgrounds, trying new cuisine, playing board games, and camping.
