Charlie Saunders, MS, t-LMHC

Charlie is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who enjoys helping clients find, accept, and appreciate who they are by identifying and celebrating their strengths. Charlie works to create a space without judgment where clients are free to be their authentic selves - to feel, process, grieve, and celebrate together in a collaborative therapeutic relationship. In this spirit, he believes that each person is an expert on themselves and their life experience, and that this expertise can and should be used in therapy alongside a counselor’s knowledge and skills.

Charlie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual settings. He has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life adjustments, identity exploration, and self-worth and is also passionate about LGTQIA+ issues, social justice, and self-growth. Additionally, Charlie enjoys working with neurodivergent children and teens. He operates from a client-centered approach while incorporating skills and strategies from CBT, Gestalt, and Mindfulness therapies, as well as Adlerian and Person-centered play techniques.

Charlie earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University in 2022.
